Goblins are small, mischievous creatures, often found living in poor conditions under the rule of other more powerful orcs. Belonging exclusively to the lowest orc caste, goblins are often enslaved for physical labour. Goblins notoriously have little need for personal space or hygiene, packing themselves into small spaces and quickly overpopulating their homes. When local resources run scarce, most goblins turn to banditry or raiding to survive, pillaging what they need from others instead of acquiring it for themselves.
Description
Goblins are quite short, standing at around half the size of the standard human. All goblins are technically genderless, though most goblins choose to refer to themselves as male. Goblins are surprisingly light for their height, often causing them to be remarkably nimble.
Goblin skin colours can range greatly, through dull earthy tones, vibrant greens, yellows, reds and blues. Goblin ears are incredibly long, stretching out from their bulbous heads. Goblin mouths are huge, spanning almost the entire length of their heads and dwarfing their eyes and nose. Goblin eyes are bright red or yellow and have a tendency to glow slightly in the dark.
Goblins are typically hairless, their massive heads covered in dirt and mud. Goblins are fully capable of growing full heads of hair, though they are inclined to shave bald due to rampant lice infestations in their living spaces. When goblins do grow hair, it is usually black or dark purple though others colours are sometimes seen.
Personality
Goblins are known to be scheming tricksters, often prone to sudden bursts of violence. Goblins are taught from an incredibly young age to only care for themselves, making most goblins greedy and selfish. As the smallest variety of orcs, goblins crave power and respect, often going to great lengths to obtain it. Though everything about goblin culture would suggest they live solitary lives, this is far from the case. Almost every goblin recognises the power of working in a group, for though they are weak alone, as a group they are mighty.

Settlements
Goblins tend to work together in large communities often packed into caves, swamps and forests. Goblins have an aversion to bright light and typically prefer to settle in places with little direct sunlight. Goblin communities are almost always filthy, as most goblins feel little need to clean their dwellings. Goblin communities are typically led by the most powerful resident. In most cases, this is not a goblin but rather another orc of far greater stature and might.
Trade
Goblins are incredibly crafty and are expected to produce many of their own clothes, tools and weapons. Despite this, most goblin crafts are dismissed by others as simple and primitive. Goblins, for the most part, couldn’t care less as goblins rarely interact with their neighbors peacefully. Some goblins have been known to sell their services as mercenaries, though these individuals are few and far between.
