Loneda is a large independent duchy located along the western shore of Owish. Loneda was once an imperial state within the Aetern Empire, though acquired independence upon the empire’s collapse. As a military powerhouse relative to its size, Loneda enjoys bountiful trade and resources, though is expected to diligently protect its allies from the threat of invading forces and marauding monsters.
History
Founding (Third Age)
The duchy of Loneda was initially founded after a series of military campaigns conducted by House Rosskrieger resulted in the acquisition of multiple foreign counties. The nobles had previously controlled the province of Königrab though were able to conquer both Flutland and Südburg through warfare. With three counties under the control of one noble house, the duchy of Loneda was formed.
Integration (Fourth Age)
Loneda was smart enough not to challenge the military might of the Aetern Empire. When an imperial ambassador arrived in Grünfuld to propose vassalization, Loneda practically had no choice but to accept. Lenstein is notable for joining Loneda at this time, after being pressured into compliance by the empire. Loneda’s economy greatly improved in the following years and many luxuries were readily available to its citizens.
