Oozes are brainless, jelly-like creatures similar to fungal mold though capable of slow movement. Most oozes lurk in damp and dark environments, siphoning the humidity in the air to fuel their perpetual growth. Aside from having an eerie appearance, ooze is actually quite dangerous if discovered. Most oozes are opportunistic omnivores, gladly devouring any material they can dissolve with their acidic bodies. Hungry oozes have been known to attack living creatures, often using simple ambush tactics to surprise their targets.
Though oozes do not have brains, they are sometimes capable of simple thought and reasoning. The intelligence of an individual ooze is often directly correlated to its overall size. Large oozes have been known to display signs of higher intelligence compared to their smaller counterparts. Some have even suggested that the largest oozes may be capable of simple speech if approached under specific circumstances.
