The Masno is a massive demon resembling a worm or centipede, they are commonly found throughout the abyssal expanse. Masnos have a near infinite appetite and devour anything they can fit in their mouths, including other masnos. The spittle of a masno has strange properties that effect living creatures on contact, creating a supernatural sense of paranoia and dread within the infected individual.
Description
Masnos are covered in many spiked segments plated with a tough carapace, giving them an appearance similar to that of a worm or centipede. The soft underside of a masno is bright red and pulsates much like a moving organ. Juvenile masnos measure only a couple of inches long, while adults can reach lengths of more than thirty feet.
Behaviour
Masnos are agressive and hungry, the only thing they seem to care about is finding their next meal. Masnos are highly unpredictable and even other demons are reluctant to fight alongside or against them.
Ecology
Masnos are ravenous eaters, devouring anything they can clutch with their toothy maws. Juvenile masnos often group together for safety while they grow, only to eventually turn on eachother in a feeding frenzy. The last surviving masno forms a slimy cocoon and emerges mere days later as a powerful adult.
