Prehistoric

Prehistoric creatures once roamed the realms in great abundance, the metaphorical “first draft” of modern beasts that now occupy most of the realms. Despite their name, prehistoric creatures have interacted with other entities throughout history, appearing in ancient texts and faded murals. Functionally prehistoric creatures are very similar to those that succeeded them, yet they carry a certain primal charm about them not seen in most other beings throughout the realms.

Most realms were naturally purged of prehistoric creatures at some point or another. Despite this, some worlds still house these mighty and mysterious beings. Worlds with small to moderate numbers of prehistoric creatures function quite similarly to those with none, having minimal impact on society as a whole. Worlds with bountiful prehistoric creatures are quite different however, greatly shaping the cultures and personalities of the other beings who live there.
