Badger

Badgers are a type of terrestrial mammal, they are well known for their black and white markings.

Description

Badgers have short, wide bodies with four stubby legs. Their long claws are well adapted to digging, though they can use them to fight if necessary.

Behaviour

Badgers are said to work together to create great burrows underground. They are known to work in large groups, dragging their bodies across the ground akin to a wagon to transport large quantities of dirt. Badgers are nocturnal, emerging in the night to search for food.

Ecology

Badgers are omnivores, though they are known to prefer eating mushrooms. They live in burrows located in grasslands and forests. Badgers are said to fear snakes, running in panic upon seeing one.
