Demons are vile beings that embody the worst traits of mortals across the plains, given physical form so that they may destroy those that ultimately spawned them. Demons hail from the infinite abyss, clawing their way into the planes through cracks in Yggdrasil’s mighty roots. Demons ultimately seek to destroy, it is the greatest desire of every demon to see the planes burn and crumble into dust.
Mortals feed demons through wicked acts of cruelty and malice, unknowingly creating new demons by performing immoral actions. Because of this, the demonic hordes are immense, dwarfing any other cosmic force in the multiverse. The demons seek to destroy all life, urging the other cosmic forces to band against them. It is only through the combined effort of angels, devils, elementals and fae that the demons are held back. For as long as evil lingers in the hearts and minds of mortals, will demons continue to rise from the depths, waging war on existence itself.
